2023-24 Events
It's been an active year with the following successful fundraising events that resulted in over $10,000 towards our Grants Program.
Thank You to all of the volunteers for sharing their time and talents and to community members who participated in these events.
Bluegrass Battleship Fall Concert
An afternoon of toe-tapping, foot-stomping delight with the band BLUEGRASS BATTLESHIP, a 6-piece band of vocalists and musicians with a repertoire that from show tunes to ragtime, Beethoven to Simon & Garfunkel and much more.
Over $2600 was raised, include $145 for a comforter raffle.
Holiday Bakery & Market
Providing a wide selection in baked goods, handcrafted cards, baskets and other items. This has become a holiday tradition and favorite of residents of Fearrington Village and Galloway Ridge. Over $6600 was raised.
WoF Cooking Classes
There was a variety of cuisines to explore from 5 different chefs. Each chef thoughtfully created a menu that was enjoyed by many. Over $1400 was raised.

WoF’s popular 2023-24 Cooking Class Series has proved one thing: We love to meet and eat!
Help us continue this tradition in 2024-25 in one of three ways:
Volunteer to be a chef instructor.
Have a roomy kitchen? Partner with a chef whose kitchen might be a “Fitch teacup” model.
Coordinate the schedule, publicity, and reminders that make for a successful FUNdraiser. Ideal opportunity for two friends.
Note: We can't run this FUNdraiser without a coordinator. The volunteer/s will have support from all the other teams -- Publicity, Web, Treasurer, etc.
