Volunteers Needed

Dear Member,

We are past the half-way mark for the 2023-24 fiscal year, and thanks to volunteers, it’s been a highly successful year to date! A big thank you to everyone who has pitched in. Now we need a handful of volunteers to form a Nominating Committee to draw up a slate of officers for 2024-25.

Our Bylaws require us to offer a slate to members 14 days before a vote at our April 17 General Meeting.

Officer positions, described below, include Chair, Vice Chair, Secretary and Treasurer.

Jo Bolig and Adrienne Lallo, who have served as co-chairs for two consecutive years, will step down June 30, 2024.

Mif Flaharty, treasurer, will also complete her service in June.

No member stood for the position of vice chair for 2023-24.

Nominating Committee duties outlined in Article IV include:

• Solicit candidate suggestions from membership.

• Send notice to the membership of the single slate of Officers at least 14 days before the election.

• Present the single slate of Officers at the general meeting held in April. Voting will take place at the same meeting.

Nothing happens without volunteer leadership. No programs, no social events, no fundraising, and no grant making.

If you are able to serve on this year’s Nominating Committee – or have interest in any leadership role – to help ensure the continuation of Women of Fearrington, please contact a member of the Executive Committee.

Most sincerely,

Jo Bolig, Co-Chair, 919-799-0235

Adrienne Lallo, Co-Chair, 512-619-1365

Joyce Brennan, Secretary, 423-505-7248

Mif Flaharty, Treasurer, 808-234-0008
